What a week!

Sheesh! What a long busy week this has been. Lots of hours worked, lots of McDonalds eaten, and too few miles ridden. The last two weeks I have driven to work instead of riding just to get there early knowing that I had lots of work to do...Monday that ends, I am supposed to be "training" for Ragbrai. That is alot of miles carring all of your stuff on the bike...it will be great. It is what I look forward to all year, its my vacation...."You vacation in Iowa?!" yep...for the last 5 years. I am doing it self supported this year for the frist time so there won't be any Evil pace line for me this year...unless it is really slow. There are several Evils that are bagging it this year. I think am meeting up with B-Rose, his wife and Clarky in Iowa City and we are going to ride to the 2nd or third day of the route from there. Jump on the route, ride to the end and then back to Iowa City. Good times.
This weekend: Saturday I am working the Topeka Tinman Tri as mechanical support. I am supposed to be on site set up and ready before 5 which means getting on the road before 4...ouch. We should be on the way home before Noon, we will see.
Sunday is the Wheel to Weston working mechanical there too. My stop along the route is supposed to be open from 8 to 2...another long day. No worries its all in good fun. I will take my fixie like I did at the Lone Star Century, ride around alittle, sneak off for a oneie, read my book....thats basicly the drill with adjusting a rear derailler or changing a flat here and there.
Ok off to work to load the van and hopefully get the rest of the day off to ride. No to sound like a cry baby but I have worked lots of hours in the last week plus. Most of those days from 9 AM to 9 PM but a couple of days ( the last too) til 11PM...I need a break and my lawn needs to be mowed...
Gotta go!!
