Next it became the bar bike.
It kept its wheels, saddle, and gearing but traded its mustache bars for 24" ape hangers (recently take for use on "Project Chopper which went missing on the night of its creation..but that is a different story). I also added a "bannana" style saddle and a home made 6' tall sissy bar...(Some where along the line here I wrapped it in pink duck tape...then later added the back electical tape...why? Does it matter?)That was good for a while but was getting scary as a flat pedal, brake-less, fixed gear that was incredably tall everywere. I wish I had a picture... I will have to find one.
Then I wanted the 700c fixie wheel set for some thing else. So Pinky got a set of 26" wheels with a coaster brake. That was pretty good for a bit too. Better even, still hard to get on and rolling though.
Its been parked for some time... put away as a speical occasion bike... plus it was in the back of the bike room and due its size (with giant ape hanger and sissy bar it was a good 7' from the ground to the top of the handle bar!) a pain in the ass to move around the house.
I pulled the handle bar for "Project Chopper" and figured I would add the smaller ape. Didn't see any reason to sport the junky saddle and sissy bar so I dumped them off today. Now it is totally rideable again and will become the primary to the bar bike. I dout its from will change again for a while.
