Some times my married friends annoy me...

I get it
You are married and couldn't be happier and as you should you want all your friends to be as happy as you are
We're not (in your view)
Get over it
I have grown weary of hearing about how "if i would just compromise I could have a woman and be happy."
No I wouldn't
I want her to be who she is while I continue to be who I am.
Is that too much to ask?
It appears to work for you... why do I have to do something different?
Sure I want to meet "her" but if I have to change to be "hers" then how much of "me" is she getting?
She needs to want "ME" not "who I could be" or who "she wants me to be"
Sure I am willing to with in reason...
but I am who I am.
Sure I am willing to "change" for some one who will make me a better person but I'm not going to just to make that happen.

If you can't tell I spent the evening hanging out with drunk married women who "can't believe that I am still single"... come on!
I have been single ever since you first met me.
How many of my women have you met?.... zero?
There's a good reason.
At this point introducing you to them would be like having the meet my parents... and if I am not ready for that why should I get your hopes up?
Am I happy for you and your new found love and happiness?
Yes I am.
You two are wonderful together
But please...
Stop trying to push your happiness off on those around you...
Namely me.
Yes I would love to meet the woman I have been waiting for... or even the woman I would "change" for... but not on your terms... just mine.
I am happy and content with how my life is at the present...
My life is full enough with out trying to figure out a way to put new loves in it.
Does that sound horrible?
I'm sure it does but I am not apologizing if it.
I am happy.
Please don't disrupt it with how you think I should be
It its meant to be then I will find her.. if not I am pretty happy with how I live my life.
My time my come... and if not I will be happier knowing that I didn't change things just to make it happen.
"She" will happy with me when she finds me... what more does there need to be?

Tell them to get off your back, drinking blackouts and waking in strangers houses keep you busy and happy. Good times.

You don't need the pressure of compromise, companionship, or love.

Fuck them, they are off their rockers!

Or you could figure out that your not 20 anymore.

amen to that. i get the same thing from my married friends too. however it's worse from friends who i first me when they were single. it's not so bad from friends who were already married when i first met them.

i'm glad you're sticking to your guns. you are and have always been one of the coolest cats i know and shouldn't change who you are for anyone. one day when that perfect chick walks into your life you'll know.

until then, walk tall, my friend. you do what you do so well.

Ah yes the anonymous comment.... how I lothe thee....
Guess I could turn that option off... but I probably won't... at least this way I know some one is reading... not sure why they are reading but they are.

But you are right, Anonymous One, I'm not 20 any more and well aware of it.
I guess the point I was trying to make... with our really saying it... is that I am very happy with how my life is as a single guy.
The whole "why are you single/" question is kinda like beating a dead whore... err... horse.
I do what I want, when I want with whom I want. I dig it.
Now granted if I find "her" maybe I would sing a diffrent tune but until then I am pretty stoked to know that I am alive, healthy and happy and admitedly too selfish to share my life.
Some day maybe but right now no way.

Believe you me Chris I know all about it.
I have married friends that tell me on a regular basis "Don't get married... its the worst mistake you'll ever make."
Most all of the poeple in my family have been devoirced at least once...some times two or three times
Yet I am supposed to look at marriage as something I want to do?
Give me a break!
