Some times its hard being the bigger man

So I drove to work today with the idea that I would get out of work early enough to go ride the weekly Tuesday night MTB ride. Of course it didn't work out that way because the store was swamped for the sales guys and the mechanics, zeke did none of his work today because he was busy helping out everyone else. No worries, I was almost caught up enough to slip out at 5, stepped out the back door to test ride a bike I had been working on and its pouring! I knew it was coming but I hoped that it would hold off long enough for me to squeeze in some off road action...its still pouring as of now. I have logged plenty of road miles but since this weekend is HSP#4 and I haven't been on my mountain bike since HSP#3 I figured I better get on it. No such luck.

So I had a big section written about frustration with things that happened today...but by the time I was done writing it I realized that it didn't make much sense, it walked in too big of a circle.
However,
I always find amusing how tough people can be hidden behind their keyboards. I am a big guy but not a tough guy, but I will tell you if we have a problem. If you work with me I am not going to write you an email I am gonna walk across the store and tell you.
People are so afraid of conflict, I'm not lookin for a fight... I just want to know what is going on, what's the problem, what did I do to piss you off this time and what can we do to fix it?
I can be, admittedly, very direct, short, blunt, to the point, and/or possibly seen as a little negative, at work. It isn't you. At times aspects of my job stress on me and I have a hard time putting on a smile and a "lolly pop in my mouth" attitude for you. You will learn to deal. As you get to know me better you will realize that if my problem was with you, you would know. I don't hide my feelings about situations, people, or things well. It is what it is but, when I am in the wrong and know it, I admit it and apologize.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. It is still raining...if the trails get too wet my first MTB ride is weeks my not be until I preride the course on Saturday after we set up the event. I guess its back on the commuter for the week, every mile counts. Don't get the wrong idea, I am not gun'n to win, I race for the fun and some times for the beer.
