music update!

Man I tell you what having Pandora.com for music has been great! I have picked up a CD buying bug though...one of these days I will get some stereo speaker cable and use the stereo Karen gave me. In the couple of weeks I have found lots and lots of new music I like and have started buying CD's again. The new CD's are:Michael Franti and Spearhead - Everyone Deserves MuiscPeople in Planes - As Far as the Eye can See....(just came in the mail today! Great CD!!)Snow Patrol - Final Straw and their new one Eyes Open (both just arrived today and I haven't listened to yet)Pearl Jam - self titled CD (also came today and I haven't listened yet - the single I like and its getting lots of raido time)I have also picked up but haven't listened to yet a band called Applebutta - Toasted Jam, I actually caught the end of a show at Mike's Tavern last Saturday night when I went to see the Down Trunks. One of the guys at the shop just brought me a burned copy of a CD that isn't even out yet by Thom Yorke the front man for Raiohead, its called The Eraser and is a solo project...I still need to hear it.Good new tunes and I am excited to have them. The Ditty Bops I found the other day as well. Hear a couple of songs off of their Myspace.com page. Very cool and the two ladies at are the band are quite cute as well. The are touring the country right now and are riding thier bikes cross country to shows and they ride Surlys...dig it! They will be in Lawerence and KC this summer and I emailed them that I will go to the show and meet up with them to ride since they encourge fans to do so. Good times.

What a crazy week at work this has been! We have had so many repairs and so much floor traffic that its been hard to get any thing done. Spring has sprung, thats for sure. I just got home from work and I am supposed to head down to First Fridays to meet up with some folks to party..but by the time I eat this sandwich and drink a beer I don't know if I will be motovated enough to head down. Maybe have a couple of beers her, have a smoke, and get ready for the race weekend. Mountain bike 101 and setting up the event site and marking the course are tomorrow and the race is on Sunday. I haven't been on my mountain bike since the Perry race so I guess its a good thing I have gotten some road miles under my belt...well except for this week...ugh
