May 21-22 Andy Clarke, President of the League of American Bicyclists and Rebecca Anderson, Advocacy Director for Trek Bicycles will be speaking and leading workshops designed to educate the public, elected officials, and staff about how to start working towards Bicycle Friendly Community recognition.
The reception (May 21, free and open to all) and workshop (May 22) will be held in Shawnee, KS.
How about contacting YOUR city to have key staff attend (and plan to attend yourself)?
Our goal: Over half of cities (in the KC metro area and across the state) engaged in the comprehensive Bicycle Friendly Communities program over the next 5 years.
