Busy busy busy...

Spent the morning to do working up my event schedule for the season.
Not events that I am riding in, events that I am working for BikeSource.
*Granted there are a few events in there that I'm riding mixed in there.

At the Tour of Missouri I (BikeSource) will expo-ing all the goodies that we sell in the shop.

If you are out and about this weekend stop by and check out either event
The Tour of Missouri ends in KC this year.
If you live here, are in to cycling or are simply interested in it, you have no excuse for missing this event!
Displays by all of the top companies, sponsors and bike shops in town.
Get up close and personal with pro racers you normally only see on TV.
Good times will be had by all!

Looks like I am gonna be plenty again busy this season.

Heartland Sports Promotions announces race registration has officially opened at http://www.kctri.org/ for the inaugural "The Kansas City Triathlon".
This is Kansas City's only Olympic distance triathlon.

We are also proud to announce our primary sponsor, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.

The race will be held Sunday, May 31, 2009. at the beautiful and scenic Longview Lake in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Triathlon distances include:
-Full Olympic
-Half Olympic
-Full Olympic Distance- Teams

"Early Bird" pricing is available until March 1, 2009. Athletes are encouraged to register now, ensuring discounted entry into this premier event - which is expected to sell out.
"Early Bird" registrants will also be automatically registered to WIN a set of Easton Attack TT Full Carbon Fiber Aero Bars (valued at $600.00)

When we say this will be a premier event - we mean it!
First, the race packet - filled with the gear and items athletes really want.
Second, "The Triathlete Experience", one of the many things that will set this race apart from all others. This is a voluntary option that allows athletes to upgrade their overall race experience. The Triathlete Experience provides many features that are cutting edge to triathlon races. Keep an eye on the official race website for more exciting announcements to come.

This race is forecast to quickly become Kansas City's largest triathlon.
It is a race for the athletes, created by athletes who will raise the standard fo triathlon racing in Kansas City.

The Kansas City Triathlon

Hearland Sports Promotions is proud to annouce The Kansas City Triathlon, a new triathlon coming to Kansas City in 2009.

For the past nine years, Heartland Sports Promotions has been responsible for hosting and promoting the best cycing events in the Midwest. Now with the direction of a local coard and an experinced Race Director, Heartland Sports Promotions offers The Kansas City Triathlon, the only Olympic Distance triathlon (1.5km/0.9 mile swim,, 40km/24.8 mile bike, 10km/6.2 mile run)in the Kansas City metro area. In addition to the standard Olympic distance event, there will be a Half-Olympic Distance Sprint triathlon for those who enjoy the challenge of the triathlon at a shorter distance. Both distances will be USAT sanctioned races.

The Kansas City Triathlon will be held at scenic Longview Lake in Lee Summit, Missouri on Sunday, May 31, 2009 and is forecast to quickly become the largest triathlon in the area. There are many exciting activities that will make this event special and unique as it will cater to the participating athletes, families and friends like none other in the Kansas City metro area. The Kansas City Triathlon will be a destination even that all triathletes from novice to elite will want to make part of their 2009 race plans.

The Kansas City Triathlon Race Board of Directors is comprised of triathletes, area busines owners and professionals who are all very passionate about the sport of multisport. The vow to make The Kansas City Triathlon a very special race for all who participate or attend.
